A Prayer For the Wealth of the Wicked

Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly demonstrates that every resource ultimately belongs to Him. He raises up nations, redirects economies, and even uses the wealth of those who do not know Him to accomplish His eternal purposes. Isaiah prophesied that although Tyre would prosper through worldly commerce, its wealth would one day be set apart for the Lord. As you pray today, ask God to release the resources necessary for the advancement of His kingdom, trusting that He is able to redirect earthly wealth for heavenly purposes and provide everything His people need to fulfill His mission.

Prayer

Lord, the nations are tools in Your hands. You restored the Phoenicians so they could provide the materials to build the second temple.. Though they were wicked You used them for Your purposes before their final destruction. So I pray that the wealth of the wicked will be brought under the control of the kingdom of God. Give us full access to the money and resources that can be used to expand of Your kingdom. Father, You don’t have a lack of resources. Release unlimited resources to Your people in Jesus name, amen.

Isaiah 23:15-18

And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot. Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered. And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth. And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.This continues the prophecy about Tyre: after a period of desolation lasting seventy years, the city would be revived but initially return to its old ways of worldly commerce (likened to a harlot). Ultimately, its wealth would be dedicated to the Lord’s purposes.
