A Prayer of Commitment to Believe for the Impossible

What seems impossible to humanity is never beyond the power of God. When the Lord promised to extend King Hezekiah’s life, He provided an extraordinary sign to confirm His word: the shadow on the stairway of Ahaz moved backward ten steps. This miraculous event demonstrated that the God who created the universe exercises authority over creation itself. Nothing is too difficult for Him! Too often, we limit our expectations to what we can understand, explain, or accomplish through human effort. Yet Scripture continually invites us to lift our eyes beyond our limitations and place our confidence in God’s unlimited power. Although we cannot dictate how or when God will act, we can trust that nothing lies beyond His ability. Let this prayer renew your faith, enlarge your expectations, and strengthen your commitment to believe God for the impossible.

Prayer

Father, You’re the God of the universe and there’s nothing that’s impossible for You. There’s no miracle You can’t do. You’re amazing. In light of Your power, I commit to trust You for the impossible. I fix my eyes on Your power. I believe Your miracle working power will be at work in my life like never before in Jesus name I pray, amen.

Isaiah 38:7-8

“‘This is the Lord’s sign to you that the Lord will do what he has promised: I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.’” So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had gone down.
