A Prayer that My Obedience will Bless Unbelievers
Our obedience to God is never merely personal. Every act of faithfulness has the potential to influence those around us who have yet to know Christ. In Isaiah 18, God extends hope to the nation of Cush (Ethiopia), showing that His redemptive plan reaches far beyond Israel. Through the faithful proclamation of His Word, entire nations are invited into His kingdom. As you pray today, ask the Lord to make your life a testimony of His goodness so that your obedience, your words, and your example become instruments He uses to draw unbelievers to Himself.
Prayer
Father, when I do things Your way it not only blesses me, but it also blesses the people that don’t know You. Give me strength of mind to obey You in every way. The Ethiopians believed You and didn’t form this alliance with Judah. Therefore, You promised them salvation. You promised them a place in Your coming kingdom. Father, I ask that my obedience and words will bless other people, specifically unbelievers just like Isaiah’s did. I also pray that every unbeliever I come in contact with will hear the word of the Lord and they’ll obey and prosper just like the Ethiopians in Jesus name, the God of the nations.
Isaiah 18:7
At that time gifts will be brought to the LORD Almighty from a people tall and smooth-skinned, from a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers — the gifts will be brought to Mount Zion, the place of the Name of the LORD Almighty.
