A Prayer for Personal Grace

There are seasons when our circumstances expose just how much we need the grace and strength of God. Isaiah 33 describes distress, instability, broken agreements, devastated land, and circumstances that appear beyond human ability to repair. In the middle of that turmoil comes a simple but powerful prayer: “Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.” God does not promise that His people will never experience difficult seasons, but He offers Himself as our sure foundation within them—a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. As you pray today, ask God for fresh grace, daily strength, divine wisdom, and His intervention in every situation where you feel overwhelmed or powerless.

Prayer

O Lord, give me Your grace. Fill me with Your strength. Get me out of tough and deadly situations. Powerlessness is not the issue. Do right by Your people. Help us fear You so we can unlock the doors to salvation, wisdom and knowledge. Completely rout the enemy that comes against me so I can be totally victorious in every area of life in Jesus name, amen.

Isaiah 33:2-9

Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress. At the uproar of your army, the peoples flee; when you rise up, the nations scatter. Your plunder, O nations, is harvested as by young locusts; like a swarm of locusts people pounce on it. The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with his justice and righteousness. He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. Look, their brave men cry aloud in the streets; the envoys of peace weep bitterly. The highways are deserted, no travelers are on the roads. The treaty is broken, its witnesses are despised, no one is respected. The land dries up and wastes away, Lebanon is ashamed and withers; Sharon is like the Arabah, and Bashan and Carmel drop their leaves.
