It’s possible to live in the middle of a corrupt and broken culture without being consumed by it. Isaiah paints a sobering picture of a society that celebrates sin and rejects God—but right in the middle of that darkness, God gives a promise: “It will be well with the righteous.” That promise still stands today.
As we pray through Isaiah 3:7–11, we’re not just asking God to protect us—we’re asking Him to cause us to flourish in righteousness, even when surrounded by wickedness. This is a prayer for clarity, for integrity, and for the kind of prosperity that only comes from walking closely with God. Let this prayer anchor your heart, and don’t hesitate to share it with others who are striving to live faithfully in difficult times.
Prayer
Father, I live among wicked people; their deeds are evil and they reject Your presence. Unashamed of their sin, they parade it in front of everyone for the whole world to see. Have mercy on me for their destruction is certain. I trust in Your promise that it’ll be well with the righteous. Give me righteous words and deeds so I can enjoy this life You’ve given me. I ask for the full and exclusive benefits of living for You. The wicked may waste their lives in wickedness, but I desire to live in the joys of righteousness to the full measure. Prosper me! Turn the wicked toward You so they can experience the joys of living as well, in the name of Jesus, amen!
Isaiah 3:8-11
Jerusalem staggers, Judah is falling; their words and deeds are against the Lord, defying his glorious presence. The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves. Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds. Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done.
