A Prayer To See The Wonder of Being A Child of God

The wonder of being a child of God is unending. This idea is unimaginable in size and scope, and God is seeking to add more children to His family day by day.  He’s looking for new people that will say yes to His invitation, but He also longs for His present children to explore the magnitude of the gift they have been given. Why don’t you pray this prayer with me that our eyes will be opened to the wonder of being God’s child? If the prayer ministers to you, then share it on your various social media platforms. 

Prayer

Father, I’m Your child. I’m a part of Your royal family. Words cannot express my gratitude.  Unfortunately, the world is blinded to the royal nature of Your family, but they were also blinded to the royal nature of Jesus while on earth.  So, reveal Yourself to the lost. Help them see the opportunity that is right before them. Unveil their spiritual eyes so they can see the incredible opportunity that is right in front of them. Help them to understand that they can become Your children, as well. Don’t let them miss it. Lavish them with the grace to receive Your salvation. Grant them saving faith that will prompt them with the initiative to jump at the offer for salvation.  I need my eyes opened, as well. I have no idea of the full ramifications of what it will mean to be a child of God in the age to come. I’m not even fully aware of what it means now in this life, but I know at a bare minimum, that when I see You, I’ll be like You. Let me see You now with the eyes of my heart. Change me as I gaze upon You in Your grace and glory. Open my eyes to who You really are, then I will be like You. The heart revelation of Your nature will transform my nature.  So reveal Yourself to me. As I see You, expand my understanding of the significance of being Your child. Do this in the name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
