Deception is on the rise as we enter the last hours of the last days.  We need discernment like never before. This prayer based on 1 John 2:29 asks the Holy Spirit to equip us with discernment. Join with me in prayer, then share it with your friends. 

Prayer

Holy Spirit, many people claim to follow Jesus, but many don’t truly know Him.  Give me the discernment to see through their lies. Deceived masses claim to be Yours, but their lifestyle says something totally different. Reveal the truth to me quickly. Guard my heart and mind from deception.  I long to be gracious with people, but I also need a honed sense of discernment. Synchronize within me the perfect balance of love, compassion and truth. I will love people without lowering Your standards. Make it impossible for me to be duped by deception.  By Your grace, I resolve to believe and do what is right because I’m born of You in Jesus name, amen.

If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.
