A Prayer for the Lost in Silence

Have you ever prayed and felt like heaven was silent? Isaiah records the cry of someone desperately asking the watchman how much longer the darkness will last, only to receive a mysterious answer: morning is coming, but the night is not yet over. Many people today are searching for truth, purpose, and hope, yet they continue looking everywhere except to the Lord. This prayer invites us to intercede for those who are spiritually lost, asking God to open their eyes to His truth and draw them into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Father, many people in the world are calling out to You, but they’re only met with silence. They want answers, but You don’t give any. I pray they’ll come and put their faith in You. Open their eyes and ears. Show them the guidance in Your word. May they sense the prompting of Your Spirit, in the Name of Jesus, amen.

Isaiah 21:11-12

A prophecy against Dumah: Someone calls to me from Seir, “Watchman, what is left of the night? Watchman, what is left of the night?” The watchman replies, “Morning is coming, but also the night. If you would ask, then ask; and come back yet again.”
