Faith is more than intellectual agreement—it is a wholehearted surrender to God’s will, even when His promises have not yet fully unfolded. Isaiah warns of those who cling to sin while demanding visible proof of God’s work, revealing a heart resistant to repentance and trust. This prayer invites us to intercede for those who struggle with unbelief and hesitation, asking God to replace doubt with saving faith. As we pray, we seek a faith that releases the grip of sin, embraces God’s timing, and produces lasting fruit in His vineyard.

Prayer

Father, I pray for those who haven’t fully embraced following You. Unwilling to repent they keep holding onto their sin, dragging it with them throughout their life. Unable to trust, they’re always asking for more proof…more evidence…more signs of Your hands at work. They never consider waiting for Your promises to unfold. They demand that all risk be removed so their weak and failing faith can be assuaged. I appeal to Your mercy. Fill them with saving faith! Give them a faith that can inherit all Your promises. Build them up so they can bear fruit in Your vineyard in Jesus’ name, amen.

Isaiah 5:18-19

Woe to those who draw sin along with cords of deceit and wickedness as with cart ropes. They say, “Let God hurry; let Him hasten His work so we may see it. Let the plan of the Holy One of Israel approach and come into view, so that we may know it.”
