Different congregations need to acknowledge other churches’ value and contributions.  This is a practical step in the right direction. In this obscure passage, the Apostle John communicates a greeting from one church to another. The church that sends the greetings has a lady pastor, thus, “The Children of your sister” comment. This passage teaches us that for unity to begin a common courtesy must be at work among different churches. So let’s pray for unity, and share this passage with your friends on social media.

Prayer:

Father, I pray that different congregations will fellowship and greet one another.  Your body is one, may we love and relate like we’re one.  May Your church be one just as You and Jesus are one, in Jesus name, amen (John 17: 21-23).

2 John 1:13

The children of your sister, who is chosen by God, send their greetings.
