We daily put to death our sinful nature by faith in Jesus’ work on the cross. We are crucified with Christ! This prayer helps us to lay hold of this victorious grace. This prayer was crafted from Galatians 2:17-21. If it ministers to you, then share it with your friends on social media. 

Prayer

Jesus, because You’ve given me grace and the gift of righteousness, this doesn’t give me license to sin. So by faith I die to sin, the law and self-righteousness.  I pray that I’ll die to self and that You’ll live again through me. I died with You on the cross and I activate that reality by faith right now. By faith I’m dead to sin. I receive the power to live for You and to say no to sin in Jesus name, amen.

Galatians 2:17-21

“But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we Jews find ourselves also among the sinners, doesn’t that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! If I rebuild what I destroyed, then I really would be a lawbreaker. “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”
