For five weeks, the Spirit has been saying over and over again, “The intensity is building on both sides.” I generally had a sense of what He was saying, but there wasn’t a concrete sense of clarity about it until the state of New York passed legislation allowing abortion up until the moments right before birth. Quickly following, the governor of Virginia introduced the idea of allowing babies to be killed in the moments right after birth. As horrifying as these realities are, they did bring clarity to me regarding the intensity that’s building within the kingdom of darkness.  The epic battle of the ages has begun.

The good news is that the intensity is building on our side, as well. We’re starting to see pockets of revival.  Night and day, believers around the world are praying. The prophetic movement is moving forward in greater clarity, detail, and authority. We’ve seen nothing like this since the days of the early church. Apostolic awareness is at new heights, and is developing yearly.  The Lord is preparing His church for battle.

Recently the Lord spoke to me and said, “The move of the Spirit that’s leading people to be baptized in water is the predecessor to the coming move of the Spirit that’s bringing the baptism of fire!” I knew what He was saying.  Just like John the Baptist baptized people in water to prepare people for Jesus and His baptism in the Holy Spirit,  the same preparation is taking place today for another baptism. As the intensity builds, it’s readying us for a baptism of fire that will equip and empower the church to match and exceed the demonic hoards who are blood thirsty and deceived into believing victory is near for them.  Intensity may build on their part, but the fire-baptized remnant will match their intensity and exceed it.  In light of this revelation, there are encouragements and scriptures that keep coming to mind.

1. Don’t lose heart or become weary in well doing.

Keep up the fight. Refuse to give up! Even though you’re weary, keep fighting!

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

-Galatians 6:9

2. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

It’s really easy to rest your eyes on the news, but the news can’t impart faith, power, or victory. When we see Jesus, we become like him. Glance at the news, but rest your eyes on Jesus. The gaze of His eyes will empower and energize you in the fight.

“And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”

-Hebrews 12:1-2

“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.”

1 John 3:2

3. Stay in faith.  No situation is hopeless with God.

God still honors prayers offered in faith. Prayer offered from hopelessness will not advance the kingdom in this wicked day. Face the dragon, defy the abyss, and stay in faith.  These mountains can move! What is possible can only be known by those that refuse to believe in impossible!

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”

-Luke 1:37

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

-Mark 11:22-24

4. Pray without ceasing.

It’s just a matter of time before our heavenly prayer bowls fill up and our answers are poured out upon us.  Don’t be distracted. Give yourself to prayer like never before.

“…pray without ceasing…”

-1 Thess. 5:17

“… the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.”

-Revelation 5:8

5. Fast with fury.

Remember our battle is not won in the realm of flesh and blood.  It’s easy to get angry with people and politicians. Pour your righteous anger into the disciplines that will bring change to the spiritual atmosphere.  Know who you’re fighting and pour your fury into that battle. Some things will only change with prayer and fasting.

Many started the year with various types of fast. You need to keep it up throughout the year. We need the tide to turn, and we all need to pay the price to make it happen.

“But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

-Matthew 17:21 NAS

A few years ago, the Lord spoke to me and said, “I desire to send waves of revival to the earth. I will pour out My Spirit, but the extent to which it will be transformational will be dependent upon how they steward the current wave, and how they prepare for the coming wave.”  The Lord desires to send revival to His people, awakening to the lost, reformation to the church and renaissance to the culture.”  The building intensity is manifesting on both sides because the first wave is coming.  Pray and prepare for it now!
