A Prayer Requesting Success for Myself and Glory for God

Success is one of the great desires of the human heart, but Scripture reminds us that true success begins with God’s plans, not our own. Isaiah rebuked Jerusalem because the people trusted in their own preparations while forgetting the God who had designed their future from the beginning. As you pray today, ask the Lord to direct your steps according to His purposes, provide everything you need to fulfill His calling, and give you a heart that gladly returns all the glory to Him. Every opportunity, every ability, and every victory ultimately comes from His gracious hand.

Prayer

Father, You have plans for me that You’ve prepared for me before the foundation of the word. You’ve laid out blueprints for me to reach my potential. In light of this direct my path. I’ll carry out the plans You’ve ordained for me. Let Your vision be my vision (John 5:19). When I accomplish these plans, may I give You all the glory. You thought of these plans. You skilled me to accomplish them. Now surrounded me with people that can help me. Give me access the resources to carry them out. You did the work. I only got to help. Thank You! You started the process. You’re the source of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17). Praise the Lord!

Isaiah 22:11

You built a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the Old Pool, but you did not look to the One who made it, or have regard for the One who planned it long ago.
