For whatever reason the church has a tendency to deviate from the truth.  Most of the time this is just a loss of focus. There’s a major on minors, rather than a major on majors. Sometimes the church will get into error and in some even rarer cases they’ll actually teach false doctrine.  This prayer for the church is designed to ask God to keep us squarely rooted in the truth. Lets pray for the church so it can be firmly established and thrive in fruitfulness and holiness.  If this prayer encourages you, then share it with a friend. Prayer

Jesus, keep the church rooted and faithful to the true gospel.  I pray that we’ll in no way deviate or delineate from the truth. By Your power, we’ll not leave the foundation of grace, nor will we compromise from Your standards. We will live and proclaim the true gospel boldly. We ask this in Your name, amen.

Galatians 1:6-9

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!
