A Prayer for Personal Kingdom Manifestation
Isaiah 33 closes with a breathtaking picture of God’s kingdom: the King seen in His beauty, a secure dwelling place, rivers of refreshing, divine government, victory over enemies, healing, and forgiveness. While the fullness of this kingdom awaits Christ’s final reign, Jesus taught us to pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” That means we should not merely admire the promises of the coming age—we should ask God to manifest the realities of His kingdom in our lives now. As you pray today, invite the King to establish His rule in every area of your life. Ask Him for vision, stability, refreshing, fruitfulness, divine help, healing, forgiveness, and the grace to live increasingly under His kingdom authority.
Prayer
Father, I’m filled with joy when I think of the vision, beauty, deliverance, landscape, typography and government of Your coming kingdom. I believe that any aspect of Your kingdom that’ll fully manifest in the age to come can be partly realized now (Mark 9:23). This is what I continually bring before You in prayer (Matthew 6:10). Just as You miraculously delivered Judah from the Assyrian invasion, I pray that You’ll deliver me from demonic attacks, and that You’ll continually fill my life with vision from heaven. As I seek You, allow me to behold Your beauty. Fill my life with stability. Stake me down in the place where I can prosper. Refresh me with a continual flow of Your Spirit. Help me apply Your principles and laws to my life. Make my life fruitful and effective for You. Give me rest. When my efforts run short and my sail can’t catch the wind, make up the difference for me. Finally, I ask that I’ll walk in Your divine health and forgiveness so I am prospering in my body and spirit in Jesus name, the bringer of the kingdom, amen.
Isaiah 33:17-24
Your eyes will see the King in His beauty and view a land that stretches afar. In your thoughts you will ponder the former terror: “Where is that chief officer? Where is the one who took the revenue? Where is the officer in charge of the towers?” You will see those arrogant people no more, people whose speech is obscure, whose language is strange and incomprehensible. Look on Zion, the city of our festivals; your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful abode, a tent that will not be moved. Its stakes will never be pulled up, nor any of its ropes broken. There the Lord will be our Mighty One. It will be like a place of broad rivers and streams. No galley with oars will ride them, no mighty ship will sail them. For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our King; it is He who will save us. Your rigging hangs loose: the mast is not held secure, the sail is not spread. Then an abundance of spoils will be divided, and even the lame will carry off plunder. No one living in Zion will say, “I am ill,” and the sins of those who dwell there will be forgiven.
