A Prayer for Seeds Sown
There are seasons when we sow faithfully but do not immediately see the harvest. Isaiah 30 gives a beautiful picture of God sending rain upon the seed, producing abundance, restoration, and healing for His people. The seeds we sow through prayer, generosity, obedience, ministry, and service are never wasted when they are placed in God’s hands. He knows how to bring fruit from what we have planted and how to restore what has been bruised along the way. As you pray today, ask the Lord to breathe upon every kingdom seed you have sown, send the rain of His Spirit, and bring forth a harvest greater than you have seen before.
Prayer
Father, I pray for the manifold seeds I’ve sown into Your kingdom and ministry. Send rain on those seeds. Cause them to bring forth fruit. Use them to bless my dominion. Just as the sun will shine brighter in the millennial kingdom, I pray the light of Your glory will shine brighter in my life than ever before. The trauma and fatigue that has resulted from Your discipline will be forgotten. Give me a huge harvest in Jesus name. Hallelujah!
Isaiah 30:23-26
He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows. The oxen and donkeys that work the soil will eat fodder and mash, spread out with fork and shovel. In the day of great slaughter, when the towers fall, streams of water will flow on every high mountain and every lofty hill. The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the Lord binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds he inflicted.
