A Prayer for Peace 

Every day we see evidence that the world desperately needs peace—broken homes, violence, division, fear, and unrest. Yet Isaiah gives us a prophetic glimpse of the peace that flows from the reign of Jesus Christ. His kingdom changes hearts so deeply that even natural enemies are reconciled. This prayer is an invitation to ask God to let the peace of heaven invade our homes, churches, cities, and nations right now through the power of the Gospel. As you pray, believe that Jesus can transform even the hardest hearts. If this prayer strengthens your faith, consider sharing it with someone searching for hope and peace.

Prayer

Father, bring the peace of Jesus’ kingdom to Earth now! Your word says, “Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).” This is the peace of heaven that will be fully manifested in Your earthly reign, but we’re not willing to wait for that. We ask that the rule of Jesus will so manifest in our midst that conflict, war, violence, murder, broken relationships, divorce will end through Your people. May Your people prayerfully and strategically bring Your kingdom to their domain. May the peace of God reign over them. May they facilitate the evangelism and discipleship processes with such effectiveness that beasts and killers become gentile lambs in Your flock in Jesus name, amen.

Isaiah 11:6-9

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.
