Spiritual leaders of churches must continually deal with problems. They need grace, skill and clarity as they deal with troubled people. They are targets for Satan, and in light of this, they also need protection. Join me in prayer as we pray for our spiritual leaders. 

Prayer:

Jesus, help our leaders keep a tight rein on their tongues.  I ask, O God, should they get into sin that it will be brought to light. The Apostle John knew that godly leadership was important to the life of a church.  So I intercede on behalf of our leaders.  I ask that You deliver them from temptation (Matthew 6:13).  I pray they’ll excel in godly living, compassion and love for people.  Make them shepherds under the great shepherd (Hebrews 13:20). Give them a Kingdom mindset, that they’ll be willing to help those who are involved in missions and in the work of the Kingdom.  Develop a willingness to serve other ministries through servanthood and generosity. Develop Your leaders. I ask this in Your name, amen.

So when I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us. Not satisfied with that, he even refuses to welcome other believers.
