Introduction

Dedicated believers are comfortable with the idea of suffering for Christ, but only a few consider the Apostle Paul’s words that speak to our willingness to suffer for the church. This prayer takes his words and applies them to our heart through the power of the Holy Spirit. Remember, a dedicated disciple loves the church and is willing to suffer for the sake of God’s people. Prayer

Holy Spirit, give me a willingness to sacrifice and suffer for the sake of the church. I will do without so the church can have and be more.  I will act upon the commission that You’ve given me. I will rise up and build Your church in Jesus name, the Lord of the church, amen.

Colossians 1:24-25

 Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.  I have become its servant by the commission God gave meto present to you the word of God in its fullness…
