The nations are filled with wickedness. Injustice appears to prevail, but Jesus told us to pray for the kingdom to come! Pray that God’s will that’s presently occurring in heaven will be carried out on earth. We’re to pray that the righteousness of heaven fills our society and world. Pray that the justice of heaven will be available for all people. This is our command (Matthew 6:9-10). Amos decreed justice for the wicked nations that surrounded Israel and Judah. He declared judgement. We declare the Kingdom comes in power. Pray this prayer with me based on Amos 2:6-15 as we seek the kingdom to come.
Prayer
Father, I come to You for my society-my people. We need all that You have to offer. We need the order You bring, the justice You establish and the holiness of Your character. We as a people need awakening. We pray Your will be done in our culture just as it is in heaven. Work among our society. Let us be a people that honor and respect the poor, that we will give the poor a fair shake at justice. Adultery and prostitution run rapid throughout our culture and no one honors their marriage covenant. So we pray that sexual purity will be established, girls sold into sex slavery will be freed, and that generational purity will be established. The corruption of our people is so deep that the people even steal from their local governments and religious organizations. Father, we need a societal transformation. Don’t forget us, You established our place in history. You brought us from where we were and moved us to where we are. You have orchestrated history for our people. Don’t allow us to be consumed by wickedness, send prophets and holy men, and as a people, let us hear their call. Let us take heed of their message. Let us open our hearts to hear what they have to say. If we do not repent, we will be crushed by the effect of our own sin. We will collapse under the weight of our own wickedness. We will not have the character to survive the battle in the day when wickedness comes to reap it’s harvest. Bring Your kingdom with such force, conviction, and clarity that our repentance will run so deep and wide that our culture will be transformed to look like Your kingdom. Father, You are our hope. Have mercy on us and send societal awakening in Jesus name, amen.
Amos 2:6-15
This is what the Lord says: “For three sins of Gaza, even for four, I will not relent. Because she took captive whole communities and sold them to Edom, I will send fire on the walls of Gaza that will consume her fortresses. I will destroy the king of Ashdod and the one who holds the scepter in Ashkelon. I will turn my hand against Ekron, till the last of the Philistines are dead,” says the Sovereign Lord. This is what the Lord says: “For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not relent. Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom, disregarding a treaty of brotherhood, I will send fire on the walls of Tyre that will consume her fortresses.” This is what the Lord says: “For three sins of Edom, even for four, I will not relent. Because he pursued his brother with a sword and slaughtered the women of the land, because his anger raged continually and his fury flamed unchecked, I will send fire on Teman that will consume the fortresses of Bozrah.” This is what the Lord says: “For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not relent. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders, I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah that will consume her fortresses amid war cries on the day of battle, amid violent winds on a stormy day. Her king will go into exile, he and his officials together,” says the Lord.
My Book Crazy Kingdom is Out!
When you truly give yourself to the kingdom, some people will believe you are crazy.
Have you ever noticed how backward God’s ways seems compared to the natural way things are done? Many times, God’s plans are the complete opposite of man’s. The principles of God’s kingdom say that to live, we have to die; to be a leader, we have to serve; and to receive, we have to give. When we accept the kingdom of Christ, we must unlearn every instinct. We must transform our thinking into a lens of understanding that most people will perceive as backward and crazy. But the reality is this kingdom, this Crazy Kingdom, turns everything that’s upside down to right-side up.
Crazy Kingdom clearly outlines the differences between living according to a worldly standard with a survivalist mentality and following Christ. God is awakening the next generation of kingdom leaders to arise and stand firm for a spiritual awakening to come to this land. These leaders will be the ones who embrace the backward principles of the Crazy Kingdom and transform the word around them.
