Mark 11:20–26 captures one of Jesus’ most challenging and empowering teachings on faith and prayer. He connects belief, forgiveness, and spoken faith to a life that bears real spiritual fruit. This passage invites us to examine not only what we pray, but how we pray—with expectation, authority, and trust in God’s power. As you pray today, ask the Lord to deepen your confidence in Him and strengthen your prayer life. If this prayer encourages you, share it with someone who longs to grow in faith-filled prayer.
Prayer
Master, fill me with faith, intentional words and an active prayer life. Cleanse me of doubts and unbelief. Give me purpose and vision in prayer. Use me to call in the opportunities and resources needed to accomplish Your will. Give me the words that’ll level mountains and obstacles making a way for Your gospel message to spread. Develop the callings on my life. I’ll be Your man/woman of faith for this end-time hour in Jesus’ name, amen.
Mark 11:20-26
In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
