Psalm 123 is a humble cry for mercy, a heartfelt look upward toward the One who reigns from heaven. It reminds us that just as servants depend on their masters for provision and protection, we are wholly dependent on the Lord our God. In a world often filled with ridicule, pride, and contempt, we turn our eyes to God, waiting patiently for His mercy and help. As we enter into prayer today, let’s fix our gaze on the One who sees our struggles, hears our cries, and responds with compassion. If this prayer stirs your heart, I encourage you to share it on your social media and invite others to lift their eyes to the Lord alongside us.

Prayer

Father, I look to You. Justify me before the eyes of men. I’ve trusted in You, and people have laughed and mocked me because of this trust! Prove I walk in truth! Do this for the sake of my skeptics. Reveal the pathway of truth to the deceived and unbelieving! Turn their mockery into favor in Jesus name, amen.

Psalms 123:1-4

I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven. As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he shows us his mercy. Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt. We have endured no end of ridicule from the arrogant, of contempt from the proud.
