Crowds flocked to Jesus because His ministry met real needs—healing the sick, freeing the oppressed, and proclaiming God’s kingdom. This prayer is a plea for the church to remain focused on that mission, empowered by His Spirit. As you pray, remember that revival often starts with a renewed vision in our own hearts. Pass this along to encourage others to join in praying for a church that lives out Christ’s calling.

Prayer

Jesus, my heart is for Your church. I ask that the church will engage in Your mission: preaching, teaching, discipling, healing and driving out demons. When the church engages in Your mission with Your power, then people must respond. Give Your church the drive to carry out its purpose. Give us the focus to not be distracted by lesser things, and empower us to do Your work through Your power throughout the world. Bring us back to Your original purpose. Bring Your Kingdom now in Jesus name, amen.

Mark 3:7-12

Jesus withdrew to the lake, and large crowds followed Him from many regions. People came because they had heard of His miracles, and He healed many who pressed toward Him. Whenever impure spirits saw Him, they fell down and declared He was the Son of God. Jesus, however, ordered them not to make Him known.
