In Mark 1:40–42, we witness a powerful moment of compassion—Jesus doesn’t just heal the man with leprosy; He declares, “I am willing.” This short exchange reveals the heart of our Savior: not only able, but eager to restore. Today’s prayer focuses on building faith rooted in that same goodness and willingness. Let this moment in Scripture stir confidence in your own heart—and if it blesses you, take a moment to share this post with someone else who needs encouragement.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, fill my heart with the faith and hope that’s based on Jesus’ compassion. He’s willing to heal and serve. Give me just as much confidence in His willingness to perform miracles as I have in His ability to perform miracles. Root my faith in the goodness of Jesus. Every time I hear, “If You’re willing…” with confidence I will declare, “You are willing.” Place this confidence in my heart in the name of Jesus, amen.
Mark 1:40-42
A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.
