When people brought their children to Jesus in Mark 10:13–16, He didn’t push them away—He welcomed them, blessed them, and declared that the Kingdom belongs to hearts like theirs. This passage invites us to bring our children to Jesus with intentional faith, courage, and spiritual leadership. Today’s prayer is for parents and families who long to see their children walk closely with Christ. If this encourages you, pass it along so other families can pray this blessing over their children as well.

Prayer

Father, just as I seek to protect my marriage through holiness, may my God-seeking life also be a blessing to my children. Give me intentional leadership that leads my children to Jesus. Bless them. Give them salvation. May I not be deterred by ornery religious leaders who are only concerned with contributors. Teach me to press past their grumpy opinions. I must do what’s best for my kids, creating a holy context that surrounds my family. I long for a legacy that honors You and blesses my children. I set my feet on the pathway that provides the fastest route for my children to encounter Jesus in Your sweet name I pray, amen.

Mark 10:13-16

People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
