It’s easy to assume God only works through our circle, our church, or our team—but Jesus shattered that mindset. When the disciples tried to stop someone ministering outside their group, Jesus reminded them that His Kingdom is far bigger than any one movement. His Spirit flows through all who honor His name. As you pray through this passage, ask God to expand your view of His work and free you from the need to control what only He can lead.

If this prayer speaks to you, help spread the message by sharing it. You never know who needs the reminder that God’s work is wide, beautiful, and unstoppable.

Prayer

Jesus, help Your five fold ministers follow Your example of not attempting to control every aspect of the ministry. Use them to release people to use their gifts and to exercise their passions. Decentralized ministry. Give my leaders and pastors this wisdom so Your Kingdom can advance. You want unity not uniformity in Jesus name, amen.

Mark 9:38-41

“Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”

“Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us. Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.”
