When Peter said, “We have left everything to follow You,” Jesus responded with a powerful promise—that nothing surrendered for the Kingdom is ever wasted (Mark 10:28–31). This passage invites us to examine what we hold dear and to trust God’s faithfulness as we give ourselves fully to His mission. Today’s prayer helps us realign our priorities and recommit everything to Christ. As you pray, may faith rise in your heart—please share this blog with others who desire to grow deeper in their devotion to Jesus.

Prayer

Father, give me a willingness to give up everything for the sake of the gospel. Grant me the faith to believe Your words. The gospel is the best deal ever! Whatever I give up for the gospel I’ll receive 100 times as much in this life and in the life to come. I know that when I give I prove myself trustworthy to manage more for You. I long to exemplify responsibility in the Kingdom through giving in Jesus’ name. I believe; help my unbelief in Jesus name, amen.

Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!”

“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel

will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.

But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”
