Healing was central to Jesus’ ministry. In Mark 1:29–34, we see Him restoring health to individuals and bringing wholeness to an entire community. That same healing power is meant to flow through His church today. Join us in this prayer as we ask God to awaken healing within the body of Christ again. If you’re encouraged by this, please share it with others so they too can believe for miracles.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, just as Jesus brought healing to everyone he met, I pray Your church will be an agent of healing. Restore the message of healing back to the church. Mark the gospel with signs, wonders and miracles. Perpetuate the gospel supernaturally. Heal the sick in Your body in the name of Jesus, the Lord of the church.

Mark 1:29-34

As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.

That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed. The whole town gathered at the door, and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.
